Vallum Farm Festival Vibes Wedding | Jo & Alex

Vallum Farm was the ideal choice for these two. As a life long riding enthusiast, if there a way Jo could involve her beloved horse Prince in her wedding day then she was going to do it! With a countryside backdrop, on-hand paddock for Prince, plenty of upmarket festival vibes from the marquee and tipi, Vallum Farm was a perfect fit.

Aside from this spot-on venue choice, every little bit of the day showed decisions that had been made to reflect who the couple are as a duo, and as individuals. Family is clearly everything to these guys. Prep was held at Jo’s mum’s house, with the bridal party consisting of Jo’s cousins, and the ceremony reserved for extended families from both sides. The service involved readings from parents, and the couple even made an exit down the aisle with their dog Cally (I’ll take this moment to put in a vote for dogs at weddings please!). The cake even featured silhouettes of the whole animal family.

Vallum has a range of great places to explore for couple photos, so after the ceremony we took to the fields, paths and woodland to get their shots. These two are a perfect example of how even if you’re usually super uncomfortable in front of a camera and not into PDAs then you can still get romantic photos as a couple on your day.

Shortly after the photos the couple were joined by their friends to help kick the reception into gear. For the evening party, Jo and Alex opted for a band/ceilidh combo – always a great way to wrap up your festival wedding, keeping everything right on brand!
